Door Latch
“Our Need Will Be The Real Creator” - Plato
This door latch was a personal project of mine to help hold my door open all the way after an incident where I stubbed my toe on the door. This project was modeled using Fusion360 and 3D printed with PLA filament. It was also a personal challenge to create multiple parts that could come together at the end of the project, fitting and working as one complete unit, especially something that could clip together and still be able to rotate and latch onto the door. This took multiple attempts, requiring modifications to the design after testing the initial 3D printed versions.
This project demonstrates my ability to identify a need or problem and rapidly prototype a solution. It highlights my proficiency with CAD software, particularly Fusion360, and my capability to transform digital designs into physical objects using 3D printing. Additionally, it showcases my iterative design process, where I test and refine prototypes.
